Caden's First Easter!

This weekend we headed out to Dickinson to spend Easter weekend. We of course had many hours of eating and visiting with family which is always great! During the weekend I think Caden picked up a few pointers from his cousin Macy who is 10 weeks older and is crawling, because by the end of the weekend he was up on his hands and knees and rocking. SO that means that we will baby proofing the house very soon as he is now crawling (well scooting, pushing and turning) backwards sideways and any direction. Crawling is not to far away!
He also said Mmaaa. Oh that melted my heart, we were getting ready for church Easter morning and he just blurts out Mmmaaaaaa in this long drawn out fashion. Kyle and I looked at each other and I of course was beaming from ear to ear. Whether he meant to say it or not, it made my Easter. (For those of you that don't know, he has been saying dada for some time now and we have been practicing the mama sound with him FOREVER! One day I even kept telling him say Mama...Caden's reply-Da...no say MaMa-dada...NO MAMA....dad...uughh was I said...little stinker)
He also used a sippy cup for the first time. I have given it to him many times before, but I think he thought it was just another toy, but this past weekend he actually used it and when he found out that he could drink from it he thought he was pretty big stuff. He would take a sip then smile and squeal as if he was the biggest boy ever!!
So after a nice weekend at home, we are back in Fargo getting ready for another week of routine and then the following week we are headed to Mnpls for a Twins game...and let me tell you, Kyle is SO excited and can't wait to take his lil guy to his first Twins game in the new stadium!!
I forgot to mention that we gave Caden some fruit this weekend and he acted like it was so hard to chew and swallow, in reality I don't think I could have given him a smaller piece, it was almost microscopic. This kid is going to have some major texture issues I have a feeling! I also gave him a piece of my cinnamon twist made by his great grandma June and he LOVED it...I guess they already figure out at this age that sweets are better than fruits huh?! It's so fun to give him new foods and discover the ones he likes/dislikes. By the rate he is going he is going to be a fussy eater. Hopefully with age that will change!
