Crawling

Last Thursday Caden officially started "really" crawling. We were downstairs and he wanted this cardboard Twins coaster, so I put it across the room and he crawled right to it!! Now we have the gate up and baby proofing has begun!! He is zooming all over the place and LoVeS to crawl after Zoe, of course the puppers has absolutely no problems getting away quickly, but I give Caden a couple weeks and Zoe will have her work cut out for her!

Here is a video taken from my phone of Caden crawling. I will get some better quality videos posted soon hopefully. Having high def videos has posed quite a challenge to get posted.

I am also happy to report that I think we have FINALLY gotten this sleep thing down. Every night when we would go to bed, Caden would wake up and maybe once throughout the night. He would only cry for a little bit, but eventually go back to bed. Kyle suggested that we play music since he obviously woke up when lights went out and it got quiet. SO we play him lullabies at night and he has slept so well the last couple of nights. Way to go daddy!

9 month check up

Caden had his 9 month check up today and he got a 100% from the Doc! He is in the 50th % for height and weight which he now weighs 19lb. 14oz. and was 28in. long. I wasn't their for the height/weight portion of the visit :( and Kyle said he was not a happy camper, so his readings are a little off. When I weigh him at home, I get 21lb. SO anywhoo, not a big deal, he is healthy and happy AND he didn't have to get any shots. All was good in the Larson house today! Sidenote...the last two nights Caden has been waking up a lot and doc asked if he had 6 teeth by now...ummm no only two at this point so he took a peek and said he should be getting the top 4 soon, probably why he isn't sleeping. Poor lil man, glad we don't remember getting teeth! Doc also commented on how happy of a baby he was and how "active" he was. He actualy said "is he always like this?" I laughed and said yep! One happy baby, well for the most part...just don't take a toy away from him, then you will see a completely different baby! Ooohh I love my lil man and so happy that we were blessed with a healthy baby!!

Mmmm...he still is working on getting used to foods with "chunks" if there is something that remotely resembles chunks...he gags. Not sure if he will ever go off baby food :)

It was such a beautiful weekend so we headed to the park for a picnic.

Off to the cities

We took Caden to his first Twins game and Kyle was especially excited not only for that reason, but because we got to see the new stadium.

We headed to the cities the night prior and stayed with my good friend Angela. It was so great to see her (Tony was out of town, sorry we missed ya!!) Thanks again for your hospitality Ang!!

This is his new move that he does...not sure what he trying to accomplish, but cute none the less! He started going even higher with his butt and then will fall backwards onto his bottom. He just can't quite figure out the forward gear yet.

On the way home...it was a long, fun filled day. Cade's just kickin it back and doing some relaxing while watching his Baby Einstein! Great day spent my boys!

A day at the park

We took Caden to the park for the first time and he LOVED the swing. He laughed and smiled the EnTiRe time. I had to buy a swing for home and we hooked it up in the garage so he can hang out with daddy while he works!

Kyle also took Caden down the slides, which after going on the swing I think Caden thought they were kind of boring. Lol

I was cleaning Cade's room and he got into the hangers...lil stinker. He is getting around pretty well now. Still not crawling, but scoots, turns, rolls every direction (he does crawl sideways and backwards, so has been getting into some pretty good predicaments where he backs himself into a corner and can't get out).

Here he is getting into the DVD's...naughty, naughty!! Kyle is working on building an entertainment center for our fireplace/TV, but until it's done all our electronics are on the floor and they must be constantly calling Caden's name because he always into them.
