The reason I was put on this earth, was to be a mother. I now know this after having our first amazing child!

Baby Shower #2

This past weekend I had another baby shower put on by Kyle's mom and aunts. It was a beautiful day and the shower was great! I definitely feel more "prepared" now, so thank you to everyone for coming and for all the amazing gifts. I especially want to thank Jackie, Trisha and aunts for hosting the shower!! Baby Larson is one special boy to be born into such great families. Between the shower held by my family and Kyle's family we definitely felt loved and know that we have so many great people surrounding our little guy!

Cute decoration that Jackie made!

Test Results

I got the results back from my tests and everything is looking great. Blood pressure is a little high, but nothing of great concern yet. We are just keeping a close eye on it. So as of now...it's back to the waiting game. IF I don't go into labor before July 14th I will be induced on that day. So all is looking good for now!!

He's on his way!!!

36 weeks

Well, I just got done with my doctors appt. and I am now 2.5 dialated. Last week I was at 1.5, and I am 80% effaced...for those of you unfamiliar with that term...once you are at 100% you are in labor, so ya...it's close!! I am however being tested for preeclampsia since my swelling is still out of control and my blood pressure has raised somewhat since last week. So I will know in a couple of days the result of those tests, but until then I just wait. I got the go ahead to travel this weekend to Fergus Falls for my baby shower given by Kyle's mom and aunts so I am looking forward to that!!
I have to mention that while I was at the doctor she had said that last week after my appointment another gal came in and was complaining about her swollen feet. My doc said she just laughed and told her about me and that she basically had nothing to complain about. Glad my doctor could get a laugh out of my hideous cankles!! LOL Oh and Kyle thinks I will get stretch marks on my feet and he is singing the tune of the Flintones quite often to point out my flinstone feet...yah that's how bad they are! Glad everyone is enjoying this...note the sarcasm! So anywhoo...I am now at the point thinking everday...is today the day?

35th Week Doc. Appt.

I had my doctors appointment today, which now will be every week and I now have hit the panic button. I have to come the realization that this little peanut could be here ANY DAY now. Hopefully he waits at least two more weeks, I would like to make it to the 37th week, because then typically the lungs and everything else is fully developed and typically baby is ready to go home without any additional stay in hospital. But anyway getting back to docs appointment. I had asked if inducing was a possiblility since I have MAJOR swelling in my feet and ankles and I am not kidding, my skin is ready to burst open at this point and it is so painful (my flip-flops don't even fit anymore)!!! Doctor said that if I continue to have good blood pressure and everything stays the same as it is now, they would probably induce on week 39. For those of you non math whizzes that's in 4 weeks. If my blood pressure changes or any other health issues come up then we are looking at week 37, now we are down to 2 weeks...EEK! Then she did the physical and the little guy is pretty low already and I am dialated between a 1 and 2. Which doesn't mean much as you can be that way for a long time, but like I said we are possibly down to the 2 week mark. Oh my...I got to thinking...I better pack my bag.

So ya, that's the update as of now. I hope I can make it to then end of the month I still have summer camp to teach and a baby shower to attend, oh and we have to put in new carpet in our bedroom and Kyle still needs to build me a changing table and a shelf...and...well lets just say as I ponder on the thought of baby coming and I can't wait, I still have a lot to do to "prepare" for his arrival...all the while keeping my feet elevated! Should be easy right!!? (Our luck baby will come when all the bedroom furniture is in the garage and rug is being layed!) I'll keep you posted!!

I just had to put these pictures on here, cuz our now baby Zoe is soaking up being the only "child" in the family. I think she likes me having a belly to rest on! It will definitely be interesting to see how she handles sharing the love!
This is her newest "trick". We tell her to "give hugs" and she plops her head down on your chest. Cutest thing!

So we had a marathon of a class this past weekend....Lamaze Class. I definitely learned a lot and I feel a little less anxious about how/when/where I will be when I start going into labor. Don't get me wrong...still freakin out about where I will be when my water breaks...who wants to be standing in line at the grocery store and have that happen, but I do feel more confident about what to expect as far at pre-labor. I also think Kyle learned some things...even though there was a lot of complaining due to the fact that how could someone have Lamaze class when the weekend weather was absolutely perfect AND the Twins were playing. How dare they!! But seriously, it was a good weekend and I think that we both gained some insight!

Only 35 more days to go!!!!

Here is a picture of our lil' guys first pair of baseball shoes!!

I'm Ready To Be DONE!!!

Ok, so now I am completely miserable, I can't sit, stand or lay without my back hurting. I have a little foot or hand permanately jammed in my rib, I pee every hour on the hour, it is harder to breathe, the swelling in my legs, ankles and feet is out of control and I haven't slept. Not to complain or anything!! But I am so ready for this lil peanut to come it's not even funny. Time is going so slow and I still have 6 weeks to go. Oh.My I also have to mention that instead of my husband putting on sympathy prego weight it's our dog Zoe. She has gained a pound in the last couple of months. This may not seem like a lot to you, but when you are only 4.2 pounds to begin with, jumping to 5.5 is a big leap! I think the Larson household is ready to get back to well... I can't say normal, since our lives will be flipped upside down when our little guy decides to come, but I at least would like to be able to see my toes again!

33 weeks - Enjoying a night out at Redhawks game and Ribfest.

34 weeks - As I was taking this picture our little guy was having the hiccups...again. He has had them everyday this past week. How cool. His movements are a lot stronger now too, definitely a growing boy in there! At the last doctors visit everything looked great! Next appointment is June 17th, down to the two week appointments. We also have our lamaze class this weekend. Kyle isn't very excited to go since it is on Sat. and Sun. on his weekend off, but hopefully it will get some of my "going into labor anxiety" under control. Is that even possible? Didn't think so, but I like to pretend!
