The reason I was put on this earth, was to be a mother. I now know this after having our first amazing child!

Oh the joys

Uncle Adam and Sarah chillin' with Caden

Caden now has 2 bottom teeth and another one coming as this week has
been ohh let's just say challenging. He has had a cold, cough and teething.
Mama and daddy are pretty worn out from this past week. You would never know
it by looking at this sweet angelic picture how crabby he can get!!

He learned that by pushing that blue button it turns his fish on/off. SO now every time he is in his crib he wants to be "big stuff and push and push that button on, off, on, off, on, off...k well you get the point!

Celebrating St. Patricks Day

Ok, who ever thought these teething biscuits were a good idea obviously didn't have children. Here is his first time getting a biscuit...not so sure of this object that he has to handle on his own. Up to this point mom has always been in charge of the distribution of food.
Hmmm...ok, liking it...thinking it is pretty cool that he gets to be in charge of his food.

He LOVED it. Mom-not so much. I had to strip him right were he was and carry him straight to the tub. Like I said, these teething biscuits were obviously thought up by some childless idiot. I am surprised that they continue to stock them, that means that people actually continue to buy this product. Maybe I missed the directions where it said to feed while in the tub. Or only give before bath time. Anywhoo we won't be enjoying these biscuits anytime soon. (unless I am outside and can hose down the kid immediately after!!) Oh and to top it off...on the way to the bathroom with Caden in my hands fully extended out so he wouldn't get any of the goop on me...I asked Kyle to take his diaper off. Kyle muttered the words, "there isn't any poop in there?" NO I answered, just take it off....WELL there was a treat for us and it plopped right onto our hallway floor. Eewww. Those stupid biscuits was all I kept thinking as I scrubbed my baby down.
This picture just doesn't do justice :)
Caden's first time in his "big boy" carseat!!! He loves it, except for when he falls asleep his face is basically buried in his stomach.

8 months and family photo

8 Months old - we FINALLY got a family picture taken, I wasn't overly impressed with them, but needless to say we haven't gotten any taken yet, so I guess this is better than nothing. I can't wait for summer to get here and we can get some cute ones outdoors!!!

He just melts my heart!

Caden is now getting his SECOND tooth...he is getting SO big :) Needless to say with these teeth come crabbiness as all you moms know. Yesterday was his crabby day and I had the day off so I basically spent the day holding him and trying to squeeze in folding a shirt or two in between his bouts of moodiness. The great thing about babies is that no matter how cranky they get, they just have to do one little thing to melt your heart and you forget about the last hour where you were ready to pull your hair out. And since I think my baby is the cutest baby on the planet (as every mother does of their children), I had a day filled with mommy son moments that I wouldn't trade for anything.
One little moment...Kyle was feeding Caden a bottle and I decided after my long day that a bowl of frozen yogurt would do me wonders, well the last bowl that I had, I shared with Caden and he of course LOVED it! So when I sat down with my bowl of chocolate chip, he cranked his head over to look at me, noticed what I was eating and gave the cutest pout face letting me know that he wanted to share in this delight with me. Kyle putting the parenting skills into full force said no, you have your bottle first then you can have ice cream. Caden didn't like this much and full tantrum mode set it. Can an 8 month old already throw tantrums?? I thought that didn't come until the terrible twos?? Hmm this must mean our child is already excelling!! Well long story short, Caden and I shared a bowl of choc. chip yogurt, followed by many Mmm's after each bite! That lil man just melts my heart! Oh and Kyle had previously left the room and tried to get Cade to finish his bottle (which he didn't), but then later brought him back saying that at least it was on his terms. LOL this makes me laugh and just love my husband all the more. He is such a great daddy and I love that he is already trying to set the rules. I can already tell who will be the rule enforcer and who will be the pushover!!
