I went into the hospital at 6:45am Monday, July 13th. My water was broke at 7am and the fun began!! I started having contractions a couple hours later and then another hour later I started to actually "feel" the contractions. THEN another hour later I REALLY felt them and now wanted my epidural. I finally got that after what seemed FOREVER and it was smooth sailing from then. I didn't feel any pain during delivery which I am so lucky. Basically the nurse had to tell me when I was having a contration and when to push. Not exactly what I had pictured in my head. This was heaven! Kyle was there with me every step of the way. The doctor had to be in an emergency cesarean so I had to stop pushing a couple of times and basically just sit and wait. an hour later at 3:49pm Caden Daniel came into this world and Kyle and I were forever changed. It is amazing how you instantly fall instantly in love with your baby. We were very lucky to have a healthy baby boy weighing 6lb. 12oz. 19.5in.
Here I am with my self medicating epidural. BEST thing in the world...gotta love modern medicine!
