The reason I was put on this earth, was to be a mother. I now know this after having our first amazing child!

Baptism

We baptized Caden on Aug. 30th at St. Joesephs Church in Moorhead. My sister Denae is the godmother and Kyle's cousin Adam is the godfather. Kyle's mom and dad Jackie and Daryl were there and my parents Polly and Gary along with my sister Denae, brother-in-law Terry and nieces Madison, Makenna and Macy. It was a private ceremony after the Sunday Mass performed by Deacon Tom. It was a great day and Caden's birth now seems complete!

Deacon Tom. He did a great ceremony for us. Before we started he explained the meaning of baptism and what all the symbolic items that we would be using that day. He did such a wonderful job!

8 weeks

Caden is 8 weeks today...oh my gosh. Time Flies. I have to go back to work next week and I am already starting to tear up when I think about leaving him. We have one of my preschool moms that will be watching him, so he will get undevided attention. But it's not from me. He has grown so much and we have defintely have had our world changed by him and I love every minute of being a mommy. Caden has had some troubles with his tummy so we are now on special formula (Yah the really expensive kind) but it seems to be helping a little bit. He also has had some reflux problems and is on medication for that. Hopefully as he gets a little bit older his tummy won't be so sensitive. We aren't sure if he has food allergies, or food sensitivity but he has gone on the hypoallergenic formul to help with this.

That aside, Caden is now starting to smile and coo and it melts my heart everytime. He loves his swing and being held. It's funny how he already has his likes and dislikes. He is also very sensitive to touch so he HATES being changed and is very ticklish on his back. He does love his bath time though!

He is pretty good at nightime. He is sleeping about 5-6 hours. I can't lie though, I can't wait for the day when I don't have to get up at 3:30am. I do love my lil guy, but I do anticipate the night he will sleep all the way through!!

Like I said before time flies, as all you parents know, and I feel so blessed to have him in our lives. I didn't think you could love such a little person so much!
