The reason I was put on this earth, was to be a mother. I now know this after having our first amazing child!

Birthday & Mother's Day

When it's nice out..we go walking!  Caden loves to hold Zoe's leash and go for walks, it's become our favorite thing to do in the evening.  Especially now in our new neighborhood we have a nice pond right down the street that has a great walking path around it.  Caden loves seeing the ducks swimming!!

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Caden comes to preschool with me in the morning and when Dian drops her little guy off at preschool she takes Caden.  He is getting a hang of the preschool way of life!

On of his favorite new toys!  Thanks Stacy!!

NyeNight

I want to get better at posting little sayings and funny tidbits that Caden does on a more frequent basis since I am eventually going to print this blog for a keepsake.  So with that said here is the cute factor of the day (His 22nd month bday as well!)

Bedtime for the last year has been really easy, we lay him down in his crib, say goodnight and I love you's, close the door and that is it. He goes to sleep.  Well over the last 6 months we have slowly added more and more steps to the process so now bedtime looks something like this.

Bath, jammies on, bedtime snack/milk, read story or watch tv for a little while, brush teeth, one more "final" drink, Caden puts drink in fridge, Hugs to daddy, "nyenight daddy", hugs & kisses to mommy, nyenight mommy, look at the stars (a turtle he has that projects the stars on the ceiling).  Lay down with blanket & sheep (2 most prized possessions) then finally to sleep.
One more step has been added in the routine.  We now have to say nyenight to EVERYTHING before heading to bed.  Nyenight Zoe, nyenight ball, nyenight vacuum...fan...bank...money...etc etc.  Tonight it was so cute because after all his good nights, I closed the door and listed to him ramble on saying goodnight to all of his toys.  What a sweetheart!  I also secretly love when he calls out "mommy" and I open the door to one last nyenight mommy!  Melts my heart every time!

Easter 2011

This was Caden's Christmas present that he FINALLY got to ride and LOVED!  He still needs a little practice steering, but did really good driving in a circle!!

Coloring Easter Eggs.

Some tears were had because he wanted to drop the eggs in water himself and he didn't want to "wait" for them to color.  But in the end we ended up with some beautiful eggs!!

Easter morning after finding his eggs and his basket.  He got the blu-ray How to Train Your Dragon, which has now become the favorite movie at our house.

Checking out his "chocate" (chocolate).  Thank you maka, bumpa, grma/grpa Larson & great grma/grpa Peters for the Easter treats & money!!

Finding an egg

He had some money in his eggs, which he was even more excited about than the chocolate!

Adam's huge dog Morgan makes a good horse for a 1 year old!

My Boys

Caden & Daxton on and egg hunt.

"Found it"  he would keep saying.  He had SO much fun looking for eggs.  It was to the point where he didn't want to stop so I just kept taking eggs out of his bag and chucking them to the side so he kept finding the same eggs over and over.  He was having a blast!  He would also get so excited and say...oh, WOW...EGG!  Too cute!

On Kyle's side there is a tradition that grandpa Bill always did with Kyle and his cousins when they were little and now the new generation gets to have the fun.  He throws handfuls of coins in the air and the kids scramble to collect them.  (Tyler is threw them this year, as well as Caden.  He saw Ty throwing them up, so instead of collecting them and keeping them he collected them and then threw them back into the air.  It was hilarious!!)

Jim & Caden have always been pals!

Evening bike ride (This was the first time this spring)  Caden of course loved it.  We were outside so he was happy.  Now that he has gotten a taste of being outside this spring...anytime we are home and don't go outside right away to play he will start crying and say "outside....pleeeeeeeeease".
