Weekend Getaway

Kyle and I decided to take a weekend and go have some fun!! We went to Brainerd/Baxter MN for a fun filled family weekend. We got a hotel, complete with water park packed our bikes and we were off.

This was his favorite part. Who knew we would spend all that money on a water park and all he wanted to do was hold a hose...hmm could have done that in our back yard. Oh well fun anwway!

We of course had to stop at a park. We actually ran across a cute little town filled with fun shops, but we had a heck of a time taking Caden in these. He wanted to touch EVERYTHING and holding him was NOT an option. So the park it was. Kyle was doing underdogs and Caden thought this was HiLaRiOuS!!! I don't think I have ever seen him giggle so hard. Best part of my day!

Sooo we ended up going 30 miles..ya, ouch. Caden desperately needed a nap as this was an all day adventure, but his head kept falling forward SO I put my headband around him and problem solved!!! This is ok right?! Well he got a good nap in!

Caden went from crawling to walking to running in a blink of an eye. He jets his arms out behind him when he runs...must make him go faster!! It seems like he has become a little boy over night and no longer a "baby". We are however still working on getting rid of the bottle. We are down to using it only to fall asleep. He went through a rough couple of weeks when teeth were popping up everywhere (he now has 12!!!) so that wasn't a good time an now, well it just is easier to let him soothe himself to sleep with a bottle rather than fight his bear personality without it. Someday we will be bottle free, but as for now, I am going to enjoy the last "baby" thing about him. He's only little once right?!

Grandpa Daryl and Grandma Jackie. They watched Caden during the month of September. It was so nice to be able to leave in the morning with Caden in his jammies and have grma J. give him breakfast. Thanks for all your help grma and grpa. I know they really enjoyed the time they got to spend with Caden as they will be heading back to AZ shortly.

I think they spent most of their time outside, which Caden absolutely LOVED!!
